Steve Irwin
I was genuinely saddened to hear the death of Steve Irwin (aka Crocodile Hunter).He seemed such a caring, full of life person whose manerism has been copied I am sure many times.
He was killed by a Sting Ray. More details can be found here:

Very sad indeed. A very vibrant and contagiously enthusiastic man. A loss to the world of entertainment and conservation.

I am equally saddened because I have always loved his programs, the courage that he showed to interact with the animals whom we are generally afraid of, his efforts for the safety of them...It is so sad...I have a tear in my eye and I am making no effort to stop it.
